Support Unit Selection & Mounting (BK / BF / EK / EF / FK / FF)

How to select and mount MOSIONX ball-screw support units: fixed vs supported end, sizing by shaft diameter, bearing match and alignment tolerances.

1. Fixed end vs supported end

The fixed end (BK / EK / FK) carries the full axial force, radial force and bending moment — use a zero-clearance or preloaded bearing and lock it reliably. The supported end (BF / EF / FF) gives radial location and rotation support, allowing slight axial float for thermal growth.

2. Select by shaft diameter

Shaft ⌀ (mm)PairLock-nut thread
10BK-10 + BF-10M10
12BK-12 + BF-12M12
15BK-15 + BF-15M15
20BK-20 + BF-20M20
25BK-25 + BF-25M25
32BK-32 + BF-32M32

Match the bearing speed rating to the screw's top rpm; keep overhang short to limit deflection.
